Setup API keys
The Alice app requires API keys from various providers to access different AI models, with keys securely managed through the Settings → General tab. To use OpenAI models, you must create an account on platform.openai.com and add at least $5 in credits, while Anthropic's Claude models require a separate account at console.anthropic.com with similar minimum funding. Additional options include xAI's Grok model (requiring console.x.ai registration) and Groq, which offers a free tier for open-source models with faster inference speeds but lower performance than commercial alternatives.
API keys are needed to unlock models from a specific provider. You can add each key in the Settings -> General tab.
Important note: API keys need to be stored securely. Don't share them publicly.
OpenAI API Key
ChatGPT and the OpenAI API are separate services. This means Alice can't connect to ChatGPT, and your ChatGPT subscription isn't related to the Alice app. You need to register an account on platform.openai.com and add at least $5 of credits. You can add credits to your account on platform.openai.com/settings/organization/billing/overview.
Go to the platform.openai.com/api-keys and generate new secret key. You can pick any name you want.

The generated API key can be added in the Alice app in the "OpenAI API Key" field.

Note: If you have a new account, there's a chance you'll need to wait a couple of minutes for it to fully activate.
Anthropic API key
Similar to ChatGPT and the OpenAI Platform, Claude.ai and console.anthropic.com are separate services, and you'll still need an API key, even if you have a Claude.ai subscription.
You need to register an account on console.anthropic.com and add at least $5 of credits, which you can do at console.anthropic.com/settings/billing.

Once your billing is set up, you can go to console.anthropic.com/settings/keys and generate a new key. You'll need to set this up in the Alice app under Settings -> General.
xAI
If you'd like to use the Grok model from xAI, the process is roughly the same. Simply go to console.x.ai and set up your account, charging it with at least $5 in credits. Then, generate an API key and add it to the Alice app.

Groq
Groq offers a very fast inference speed, but only for open-source models, which lag behind commercial ones. You can't expect the same performance from them as from models from OpenAI or Anthropic.
At the same time, Groq's service has a free tier plan you can try. All you need to do is register an account on console.groq.com, generate an API key, and add it to the Alice app.
